Church History_ What is History?
* According to E. H. Carr, there are "dual meanings" in a general word, "history."
One is the facts that happened in the past. (Abstract reality)
The other is the facts that have been known. (Acknowledged reality)
* History and Historiography
In fact, every "history" is a "historiography."
Each Historiography has told by a certain "historian" with his or her own "historical perspective."
In this sense, there is an importance of "historians."
* "I regard this book as in large measure autobiographical." (Gonzalez, Vol. 1, xv)
History is a conversation "between historians and facts," and "between present and past."
